Specializing in vaping and CBD products, the company has established itself as a market leader, consistently experiencing year-on-year growth and recently expanding to larger premises. Due to continued success, they are looking for an experienced and dynamic FMCG Convenience Manager to support further growth within the convenience store sector.
Job Overview:
The FMCG Sales & Distribution Manager will oversee the sales, distribution, and performance of products within the convenience store sector. This role involves driving growth through strategic account management, merchandising, and partnerships. The ideal candidate will possess leadership skills, a deep understanding of the FMCG industry, particularly within convenience retail, and the ability to ensure optimal product availability and visibility in stores.
Key Responsibilities:
· Build and maintain strong relationships with key convenience store accounts and partners.
· Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve targets within the convenience store channel.
· Analyse sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities.
· Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and performance updates to management.
· Ensure optimal product placement, in-store visibility, and merchandising in line with brand standards.
· Collaborate with retailers on planograms, shelf optimisation, and promotional displays to drive sales.
· Manage a team of sales representatives or field merchandisers, providing training and support.
· Conduct market research to understand customer behaviour, preferences, and trends in the convenience sector.
· Provide insights on new product opportunities or required adjustments to the product line based on customer feedback.
· Efficiently manage product recalls or issues to maintain brand reputation and customer trust.
Qualifications:
· Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
· Experience: 3-5 years of experience in FMCG sales, with a focus on the convenience or retail sector.
Skills:
· Strong negotiation, sales, and relationship management abilities.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Highly organised with attention to detail.
