French speaking HR Administrator

Job Title: French-speaking HR Administrator

Salary: £30,000 

Location: Coventry


The company: Our client, a longstanding firm with a history dating back to 1888, specializes in property and land-related services. Their offerings include property sales and lettings, as well as chartered surveying, land agency, auctions, and valuations. Renowned for their expertise and professionalism, they serve clients across the Midlands region and beyond from their numerous regional offices. As they expand into France, they are seeking talented individuals to join their team and contribute to their continued success.


Role Overview:

Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented HR Administrator to join their team permanently. The HR Administrator will act as the first port of call to employees and external partners for all HR-related queries. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling various administrative duties efficiently and effectively, ensuring the smooth operation of HR processes across multiple locations.


Key Responsibilities:

· To assist the HR Manager in providing a comprehensive HR administration service.

· To be the primary contact and systems administrator for queries 

· To provide an effective Human Resources administration service relating to the employment lifecycle.

· Ensuring the HR Database accurately reflects current staff conditions and details. This includes inputting starters and leavers, contractual amendments, change of details, annual leave, and recording of sickness and other leave.

· Supporting and coordinating the onboarding process for new starters

· Dealing with day-to-day HR queries and advising in line with the current policies and procedures

· Support in the accurate processing of payroll and benefits

· Carry out general administration tasks for the HR Department

· Respond to reference requests for current or former members of staff.

· Ensure electronic and paper-based personnel files are maintained and filing/archiving is completed on time

· Participate in HR projects and initiatives as assigned

· Scheduling of periodic staff reviews across all departments, including probationary period reviews.

· Administrator and ensure compliance with statutory training requirements

· Carry out other related tasks as required


Requirements:

· Proven experience as a HR administrator or HR assistant

· Fluency in French is a must

· An understanding of HR processes and systems

· Computer literate with programs such as Word, Excel, etc.

· The ability to work independently and problem solve and to be able to work well under pressure to required deadlines.

· Personal resilience and the capacity to work effectively and stay calm under pressure

· Ability to deal tactfully and professionally with colleagues is essential


Desirable:

· CIPD qualification or HR certification desirable or relevant HR experience

· Good/current understanding of UK employment laws and HR policies
