Sales Development Representative – UK FMCG Retail

  

Job Title: Sales Development Representative – UK FMCG Retail
Location: Regional UK (Field-Based)
Salary: £28,000–£30,000 basic + car allowance + performance bonus

  

The Opportunity

Our client is seeking ambitious, field-based Sales Development Representative to drive growth across assigned UK territories. You will work directly with convenience stores, vape shops, and tobacco retailers to secure new listings, increase in-store visibility, and develop strong, long-term customer relationships.


This role suits a target-driven sales professional who thrives in face-to-face selling, enjoys opening new accounts, and is motivated by performance-based rewards.

  

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular in-person visits to convenience stores and tobacco retailers
  • Actively pitch and sell products, securing new listings and repeat orders
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with store owners and decision-makers
  • Identify opportunities to expand distribution and grow account revenue
  • Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and market trends
  • Negotiate improved shelf space and execute in-store promotions
  • Support trade events, roadshows, and promotional campaigns

  

Experience:

  • Proven direct sales experience within FMCG (retail channel experience preferred)
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Experience within e-cigarette, tobacco, or related categories advantageous

Skills:

  • Strong negotiation and persuasive selling skills
  • Confident with cold calling and door-to-door retail pitching
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Self-motivated, resilient, and able to work independently

  

Requirements

  • Full UK driving licence and own car
  • Willingness to travel extensively within your assigned region
